Yesterday Grandma and Grandpa McNally made it back from their holiday in Yuma and brought us the bassinet we had asked them to pick up for us. I had planned to leave it in the box until a little closer to the baby's due date, but Jesson had other ideas. He was positive that whatever was in the box looked like fun and needed to be opened right away. As soon as I set it up, he jumped in and said "night night" in his own little language. We've tried to explain to him that it's for the baby, so now when he sees it he says "baby" although I don't think he really gets it. The reality of adding a child won't hit him until the baby is here I'm sure. He looks at us like we're crazy when we tell him that there's a baby in Mommy's belly. Maybe as I grow larger and wider he'll start to understand. We'll keep trying anyway.
