Conor is doing well. He sleeps for VERY short periods of time, or so it seems, but he's growing quickly. Posted by Picasa

Our Boys! This is the closest they've been since Conor arrived. Notice Jesson's fake smile? He's not crazy about being close to the noisy one. It won't seem like long, I'm sure, and they'll be rolling on the floor together...fighting. Posted by Picasa

In an attempt to alleviate boredom I got Jesson some paints. He had a blast and taste-tested them too! Posted by Picasa

Jesson has become quite bored with being at home as it's not possible to make as many trips outdoors as we used to. To try and keep him busy we tried baking. He had to "stick fingers in" to every ingredient, happily taste-testing and giving his approval. He was quite proud to be eating the dessert HE made for supper that night. Posted by Picasa

Conor is keeping busy too, by infant standards. He feeds every couple of hours, fills lots of diapers, and catches a few Z's whenever possible. Posted by Picasa

He's rarely awake for trips to the grocery store. He complains about the car seat at first but uaually settles in and misses the rest of the trip. Posted by Picasa

Needless to say, Conor is filling out nicely. His belly and chins are packing it away the fastest, but his limbs will catch up. Posted by Picasa

Conor Scott has made it two weeks in our household so far with little trouble aside from a diaper rash. Jesson has been pretty gentle with him and wants nothing to do with him when he cries, but he does ask "is he alright Mom?". He sleeps like the dead as long as he's wrapped up in every baby blanket we own. He started out life on the cold side and still prefers to be bundled really warmly. As of Monday he weighed 8 lb. 12 oz. so he's gaining weight nicely. We are still waiting for an official diagnosis for that kidney blockage which unfortunately still exists but doesn't seem to effect his little fire hose. We'll keep you posted. Posted by Picasa

Conor spends a couple of periods each day awake and checking out his surroundings. He loves to hear Jesson and Scott's voices and tries to track them whenever he hears them. He's surprisingly good with his head already. He turns his head from one side to the other when he's laying on my chest and rarely lays his head down on my shoulder when he's alert or upset. I don't remember Jesson having that much control this early. All in all he's a pretty good baby, we're very lucky. Posted by Picasa

Well, the Saskaton Exhibition has come and gone for another year. Jesson had a blast, Scott and I enjoyed the atmosphere, and Conor was oblivious to it all. We tried to take in as much as possible in the short evening we were there. Jesson enjoyed the rides, games, food, and danced to Glass Tiger at their outdoor show. We also saw the Super Dogs, ate Spud Nuts, and walked as many exhibits as our feet could handle, then it was time to head home. It was exhausting but fun. We're looking forward to next year when Conor will be able to go on the little rides too. Posted by Picasa

Jesson got to drive a semi-truck on this ride. He was in seventh heaven! Posted by Picasa

He and Daddy rode on the Ferris Wheel too! Posted by Picasa

Jesson even won two stuffed toys in the duck game! Posted by Picasa

It was business as usual on Wednesday the 27th at Gordie Howe Campground in Saskatoon. Jesson was out for a walk in the puddles with Grandma Nicholetts and I snapped this shot of him enjoying being a boy. If only he'd have known that he'd be a big brother by the next morning, he may have played a little longer or got a little muddier. He had a blast! Posted by Picasa

It's a BOY! We knew that already though.

Conor Scott McNally was born on July 28th at 4:54 a.m. at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. He weighed 8 lbs 4 oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. He came VERY quickly and had a rough start but he and I are both doing very well now. Posted by Picasa

Here's Daddy holding Conor shortly after he was born. Posted by Picasa

During delivery Conor had the cord wrapped tightly around his little neck and it had to be clamped and cut before he was fully delivered. As a result he spent some time in the care of the NICU experts being checked out. It took nearly 5 hours before he was alert enough to nurse. A very long 5 hours. Oxygen deprivation is a scary thing! A few hours after his birth, he still wasn't ready to greet the world. He wouldn't keep his temperature up before or after his bath and had to spend a little extra time in the nursery under heaters before he came to my room. Posted by Picasa

Conor did fairly well with sleeping at the hospital. He seemed to prefer to be held rather than be in his bassinet but I expected him to be the opposite of Jesson and so far he is, he's a cuddler. Posted by Picasa

Within second fo this photo being snapped, both boys were in tears. Jesson must have thought he did something to make Conor cry so he started bawling too. He keeps his distance now unless Conor's got his mouth full. Posted by Picasa

Daddy and Jesson were the first to visit as they didn't have to adhere to the visiting hours. Conor slept through most of their visit, but Daddy got a cuddle out of it anyway. Posted by Picasa

Grandpa and Grandma Nicholetts came to visit as soon as they could arriving shortly after visiting hours started. Later that night we had the Taksas family of Saskatoon come to see Conor. The following day my friend Sherrie Charles, also of Saskatoon, stopped in to see us for while too. It was great to show Conor off to everyone, I think he's quite cute. Posted by Picasa

Conor arrived at the campsite around noon on his second full day of life. It was as if he needed to check the place out. This was his first real good look around. Posted by Picasa

Conor got his first bath in the trailer tub on his first night at "home". It was a hit as you can tell. Posted by Picasa

Here are the new brothers posed for a snap shot. We had to coax Jesson to get close enough to catch them both in the same shot. Conor's a little noisy for Jesson's liking sometimes. Posted by Picasa
