Jesson is just getting too big! He's long and loud and full of attitude. He loves to play, loves his movies and loves his bath. He really enjoys blowing bubbles in the bath. Posted by Picasa

Conor really enjoys his tub too, it's a nice break from "the witching hour" every evening. Posted by Picasa

Conor is 8 weeks old now! The time has gone by so fast! He has just started smiling and giggled for the first time a couple of days ago when he was watching Jesson play. It's a good thing he started smiling at me because the lengthy screaming fits and tummy troubles are wearing me out. The smiles help make me feel better. We're supposed to be seeing a pediatrician some day soon to address his problems and maybe he'll straighten out after that, we'll see. Conor has started to watch Jesson pretty intently now. He pays close attention to his big brother when he plays and while they are in the tub together. Jesson has really made headway in his big brother role too. Last night while I was making supper and Conor was screaming, Jesson sang him songs to try and make him happy. Prior to this he would yell or poke him. Things are looking up. Posted by Picasa

He's packing on the pudge though which leaves me thinking he'll probably be just fine. Posted by Picasa

Oh, I almost forgot the biggest news!!

We bought Jesson his first Big Boy Bed on the way home from the lake last weekend. We bought a set of bunk beds as the boys will probably room together for a while and the top bunk makes a perfect toddler bed. So far he hasn't figured out that his little legs still work after he's been put to bed but that's fine with us. I'm sure he'll figure out soon enough that he's not really confined and then the fun will begin. He's so comfy in his new bed that he sleeps in every morning and has had 3 hour naps the last couple of afternoons. Yippeee!! We're so proud of how well he's doing! Posted by Picasa

Here we are reading bed-time stories in his new bed. This has become a nightly ritual which I thoroughly enjoy. Posted by Picasa

Conor has been a little out of sorts lately so when I remembered that I had a vibrating bouncy chair stored in the basement I dragged it up and gave it a try, voila!! It helps that he'll will finally take a soother too. Also, for anyone with diaper area trouble, use SUDOCREM!! My good friend Aimee suggested after I had struggled with Conor's bum for over a month. We had tried everything that everyone suggested, been to the doctor two doctors, spoken to two pharmacists, made home-made remedies, used every cream and powder on the market changed diaper brands, wipes, laundry detergent and my diet, and everything seemed to make things worse. Within a couple of days he went from red and bleeding to perfectly pink, it was hard to see where the rash had been. Thanks to everyone for their help, and Thanks Again Aimee!! Posted by Picasa

Last night Scott started syphoning the pool to drain it and Jesson had a blast running up and down in his new-found river and rescuing drowning lady bugs. Getting him in for supper was a challenge. Posted by Picasa

We recently spent a week and a bit at Grandma and Grandpa Nicholetts' cabin at Jackfish lake. We had a lot of fun and kept busy while we were there. A lot of important things happened while we were there, the one we're most thrilled about is that Jesson has finally accepted his little brother, thanks in large part to Grandma and Grandpa showering him with affection the whole week we were there. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa. Jesson has given Conor several kisses since then and while we were at the lake he began showing Conor toys, telling him stories, etc. as well as telling him to "stop it" whenever he cries, but it's attention at least. Jesson kept his grandparents busy the whole week "helping", and talking non-stop... Posted by Picasa

...he had his first ever nap out of confinement and actually fell asleep... Posted by Picasa

...he explored the edge of Lehman creek down the road from the cabin and collected flowers to surprise Grandma... Posted by Picasa

...he got to "poke his finger in" to a bale and sit on top of it... Posted by Picasa

...he watched the "mighty machines" at a construction site near the cabin... Posted by Picasa

...and he got to try his first pickled egg with Daddy and Grampa, and he liked it! Yuck. Posted by Picasa

Conor is growing chbbier by the day. He's starting to smile more and more. His little personality (and temper) are developing at a fast pace. When he's mad he stiffens up and we could probably stand him in a corner. When he's happy and his tummy feels good he tells stories and smiles into space. It all happens so fast! Posted by Picasa

On the way home, Jesson got to use Daddy's ear phones to listen to his DVD after the audio sender's batteries died. I don't know how much he actually heard as they hung down to his neck, but he thought they were cool. Posted by Picasa

This is Conor's first real smile (while conscious). He has smiled in his sleep many times, but this was the first time while awake. I had the camera aimed at him trying to catch him holding up his head, how lucky! Isn't he cute? Posted by Picasa

The many faces of an infant. Unfortunately I see the angry face far too often. The poor little bugger has a nasty diaper rash despite visiting the doc twice and trying every cream and home remedy known to mankind. When he's feeling OK and doesn't have gas, he's a delightful child. When he's screaming, he's still cute, it just takes a lot longer to get things done around the house with one arm, such is Motherhood I guess. Posted by Picasa

Here's the paddle boat my Dad picked up at a garage sale. It floats and it was lots of fun. My cousin Candy, Jesson and I took her on her maiden voyage. We had a blast. Thanks Dad. Posted by Picasa

While at the lake last weekend Jesson got to spend lots of time with everyone. Relatives from Manitoba were visiting and he loved all of the attention from everyone (I loved it too, thanks guys!). It was great to see everyone but I was so busy with Conor I didn't get many pictures taken. This picture is Grampa's little shop at the lake. If he had his way, Jesson would "help" Grampa all day, he LOVES tools. Posted by Picasa
