I am bursting at the seams with pride to share these photos of my new niece, Sydney Maria Lynn. She and Cari are doing well. Cari's healing quickly and Sydney's growing like a weed already. Darrell is still able to be at home with them as the ground is too wet to go back to the rigs. We wish them all the best as time goes on, and we look forward to meeting Sydney sometime this summer. Jesson has already added Sydney to the list of cousins he repeats regularly when we say we're going to the lake. Congrats Cari, Darrell, Kelsey and Hannah! Posted by Hello

Grandma and Grandpa Nicholetts were understandably thrilled by their new Grand-baby. They made the trip to Bonnyville quite quickly to be with Cari and Darell as soon as they could. Posted by Hello

She's barely bigger than Cari's old Cabbage Patch doll. Posted by Hello

Her Daddy bought her bunny slippers. Too cute! She's so tiny! Posted by Hello

She's JUST the sweetest little peanut! Posted by Hello

Yummmm! The joys of summer! Posted by Hello

Every evening Jesson becomes Daddy's boy. Scott can't move very far without his shadow right behind him. Daddy doesn't mind one bit, of course, and they have a blast together. Posted by Hello

During an afternoon of yard work, Jesson enjoyed a snack and juice break in the shade. Posted by Hello

He's still quite a big helper. "Washing" the dishes accomplishes several chores at once when Jesson helps - dishes, floors, counters, and windows! Posted by Hello

Jesson enjoys the occasional morning paper, especially the sections on toys, pools, and lawn mowers. Posted by Hello

Welcome, Sydney Maria Lynn Desjarlais!

This morning at 9:28 a.m. Cari, Darrell, Kelsey and Hannah welcomed a new baby girl into their lives. She weighed 6 lb 9 oz and was 48 cm long. Mom and baby are reportedly doing quite well. She's apparently an alert baby, already staying awake for an hour at one time. She babbled to Grandpa Nicholetts and recognizes her Daddy's voice too. We can hardly wait to meet her. Congratulations Cari, Darrell and girls!

Good Luck Cari and Darrell!

My sister Cari, and her husband Darell will become parents again this morning. Cari woke to her water breaking today and when she got to the hospital, she found out the baby was still breech and she was dilating. She is undergoing an emergency C-section as I'm typing. New sisters, Kelsey and Hannah are ecstatic that they can attend as they have no school today. We wish Cari the best of luck with a speedy recovery and a perfect little bundle. Grandma Nicholetts plans to join them tonight after work for a visit. Hopefully the McNally's can visit before too long as well. We Love You and Good Luck Cari & Darrell!

Last weekend we made an excuse to go camping again. Since I had a prenatal appointment late Thursday afternoon anyway (all is fine), we decided to pull the trailer to the city and stay for the weekend. Jesson and Daddy had a blast running around on, and laying in the grass in the park across from our site. The weather wasn't the greatest but we enjoyed the trip immensely. We got some shopping done, took in a few of hundreds of garage sales in the Montgomery area of the city, and spent a fair bit of time relaxing at the campsite. Posted by Hello

All in all we had a great weekend. Whether we were outside playing or stuck inside due to rain or wind and cold we made the best of it and relaxed as much as possible. Posted by Hello

On Saturday night, with our holding tank capacity almost full, Jesson was treated to a bath in the kitchen sink instead of the tub. He thought it was fun although he barely fit. On Sunday morning he asked to get in the sink again so he must have enjoyed himself. Posted by Hello

Our site at Gordie Howe was quite large with plenty of room for Jesson to run and ride on his car. He never wanted to be inside. Posted by Hello

While we were shopping, Jesson got a few new toys. Mr. Potato Head is one of his new favourites. We had intended to replace only his favourite semi-truck and trailer which wore out on him, but things got a little out of hand. Posted by Hello

Jesson loved to be outside where he could explore, collect rocks and things, watch birds and squirrels and golfers, and run in circles when he had extra energy to burn. Posted by Hello

Tonight Jesson and Daddy went for a little tour with the new trailer in tow. Jesson had a blast. Posted by Hello

Jesson got a bike trailer last weekend when they finally went on sale. He thinks it's pretty cool. Posted by Hello

Here Jesson and Daddy are organizing the "garage" at the back of the trailer making sure everything is packed. Posted by Hello

Jesson LOVES to help Daddy whenever possible, especially when tools are involved. Here they were busy putting the jacks back on the trailer after Daddy beefed them up a little. Posted by Hello

It's a BOY!!

At least it will be, when it comes out. A week or so ago we saw the radiologist again and had the potential kidney blockage looked at a second time. The radiologist said he didn't think there was anything to be concerned about now, and to have the baby checked out after delivery. While we were there, we asked to find out the sex of the baby and we were shown his unmistakeable twig and berries. His facial profile looks a lot like Jesson did during his ultrasound. We can hardly wait to meet our new little man. Posted by Hello
